The short version
- Deposits are refundable within 48 hours — only if no work has started.
- Once work begins, you're billed for hours invested, not the full project.
- Third-party costs (domains, hosting, licenses) are never refundable.
- Completed and approved deliverables are not refundable.
- We'll always try to resolve issues before things get formal.
1. Overview
FuturzTechnologies builds custom software, websites, and digital products. Because every project involves real hours from real engineers, our refund policy is based on time invested — not a flat percentage. By hiring us, you're agreeing to the terms below.
2. Project Deposits
Most projects require an initial deposit — usually 30-50% — before work begins. Whether it's refundable depends on one thing: has work started?
Refundable
You cancel within 48 hours of paying and before design or development has started. Full deposit back — no questions asked.
Non-refundable
Wireframes, designs, or code have been produced. The deposit covers those hours, so it can't be returned.
3. Cancellations mid-project
If you need to cancel after work has begun, email info@futurztechnologies.com with written notice. Here's how it's settled:
We calculate the value of work delivered up to the cancellation date.
If you've paid more than that, we refund the difference.
If you've paid less, we send you an invoice for the difference — payable within 14 days.
4. What's never refundable
Some costs are outside our control and can't be returned, regardless of circumstances:
Third-party costs
Domain registrations, hosting fees, SSL certificates, or premium software licenses purchased on your behalf. These are paid directly to the provider and cannot be reversed.
Completed deliverables
Anything that's been fully delivered and approved — a finished logo, a deployed website, a completed month of SEO. Once it's shipped, the work is done.
Consultation fees
Fees for dedicated strategy or consulting sessions. The time was spent, the advice was delivered.
5. Chargebacks and payment disputes
Please talk to us first
If there's a payment issue, email us before contacting your bank. In almost every case, we can resolve it directly — and much faster.
If a chargeback is initiated without prior contact, we reserve the right to pause all ongoing work and provide your bank with our full evidence: contracts, code commits, design files, and communication records.
6. Contact us
Before paying for a project, if you have any concerns about refunds — ask us. We'd rather answer a question upfront than argue about it later.
We reply within 1 business day.
